I know. It is the New Year and we all have our resolutions for saving money and cutting costs. But, we need something to get us through the winter months. So, it’s time to treat yourself with these splurge worthy products!
KIEHLS CREME DE CORPS. Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter
$46.00 CDN. At first glance, $46.00 might seem like a lot to pay for body butter. But, this isn’t just any body butter. It is a non-greasy formula and doesn’t feel like you have lathered yourself in vaseline. This body butter melts into your skin, moisturizes your skin and leaves you feeling like a million bucks. Oh and the best part, it smells ahhh-mazingggg to the point where you are tempted to take a spoon and taste it. Also, the tub will more than last you during the winter months. A little goes a long way. It contains jojoba oil, shea butter, squalene and beta carotene (an anti-oxidant).
2. MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA Beach Walk
$120.00 CDN/100ml. I am not really into perfumes – and over the years I have developed a bit of a sensitivity to really strong scents. I discovered this while walking through the perfume section of Hudson’s Bay on Queen Street and I fell in love with the smell. It is the perfect, everyday scent you can wear to work, to the mall or just on a lazy Sunday when you want to smell nice. It isn’t overpowering! It contains notes of bergamot, coconut milk, lemon, pink pepper, and musk – think beach walks, salty skin, waves crashing! Try this now!
3. KEVIN MURPHY Plumping Wash
$45.00 CDN on amazon. I have really thin, dry, frizzy hair. I know, weird combination right? I find that most volumizing shampoos will make my hair like straw. Not this baby. I have been using the Kevin Murphy line for a few years now, and yes, they cost more than your average shampoo, but totally worth the price. This shampoo is a thickening shampoo, it contains nettle and ginger root extracts. It also nourishes the hair follicles and stimulates the scalp. It is sulphate and paraben free. You don’t want to be using a shampoo that is not sulfate free! You can purchase this at some salons, but I just found out that Amazon sells it too! I use the shampoo in combination with the conditioner.
