I don’t know about you, but I find spending $37 CDN on a concealer a bit much. So here’s the story, I am not a concealer person. I always find it cakey and it creases making me look old and tired. Well I was on a mission to find a concealer that worked for me without creasing. I had heard of Tarte Shape Tape – who hasn’t, it is all the beauty bloggers rave about. BUT, did you know that the Tarte Shape Tape is extremely drying and not good for people with dry under-eyes? The area underneath my eyes is extremely dry and I realized that the Tarte Shape Tape wouldn’t be a good fit. I needed something light and hydrating. The helpful Sephora associate tried Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer on me in the shade Macadamia. I gave it the full day wear test, and it honestly didn’t crease and gave me the perfect coverage. It also did a great job at highlighting the under eye area. The only downside: it’s price tag ($37.00 CDN). I couldn’t spend that much on a concealer that I wasn’t planning on using all the time. I purchased it anyway but felt guilty the whole time. That is when the research began to find the perfect dupe for this concealer. Was there one? All my research pointed me to this drugstore concealer – I had all my doubts about this, how could a less than $10 concealer be a dupe for a $37.00 concealer?
Well guess what? I found the perfect dupe! Maybeline Fit Me Concealer is an exact, if not better dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I wore the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer under one eye and the Maybeline Fit Me under the other eye for comparison. I wore the concealers for the full day. The shade I tried in the Maybeline Fit Me Concealer is Sand. It was light, hydrating, gave me enough coverage and didn’t crease. In fact, after a full day of wear, the Nars concealer creased a lot more than the Maybeline Fit Me Concealer, which hardly creased. I was never one to believe in dupes, but I am so glad I tried the Maybeline Fit Me Concealer – it is amazing and so affordable! Give it a try and let me know what you think! You can purchase it on Amazon of course!
